History & News
We did it! I can't say that I'm surprise. However, Vienna put up a merciless and intense fight right up until the last second, which allowed us to prove how good we really are. The final score was 8-6. Catch the Tiger's play next week at Bryant at 3:30pm. Go Tigers!
The victory against Vienna is dedicated to our quarterback, Darrell Carter. Please join the rest of our team as we extend our best wishes to him as he is currently in the hospital recovering from a terrible injury. You can email me
a message and I'll be sure that he gets it.
Also, congratulations to Jimmy Stewart, who stepped in for Darrell at the Vienna game and made his quarterback debut. Great game!
WHAT WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED IN THE PAST
This team continues to grow after 2 years under their original coaching staff: Ray Brown, Melvin Entwisle, and Mike Bostic. A combination of great coaching technique and an extremely talented squad is what makes this team victorious. In the 1999 season, they went on to win the Fairfax County Youth League Championship. Upon winning that game, they made their way to the Metro Bowl, where they unfortunately lost to GlenArden.
WHAT'S IN OUR FUTURE?
This years team is once again focused on retaining their championship title, but they won't stop there. Should this team manage to make it back to this year's Metro Bowl, they promise to be victorious! Ranking #1 in the county has got them well on their way to accomplishing that goal. The Tiger's have gone unscored upon in every regular season game with the exception of two (vs. Annandale. Final score 38-6 and Vienna 8-6.) They are currently attaining a 6-0 record (8-0 including preseason games).
